Panel: How are heat and cooling driving design of AI data centres?

Tuesday 2 June 2026
Engage Theatre - Engage Zone

AI chips and heat densification are causing a shift in data centre design, with grey space replacing IT racks in white space as the dominant factor. This is now a critical part of the data centre infrastructure requiring data centre operators to work with partners who can deliver complete, integrated solutions that connect every layer of the system – from the chip to the chiller.

  • Liquid cooling systems for AI - chilled water systems

  • Lower density - Air based solutions.

  • How important is flexibility on design, especially considering a 14 year design timeframe frame.
