Mercury

Mercury is a leading New Zealand electricity generator-retailer, generating around 9.5TWh of electricity annually, approximately 22% of New Zealand’s annual generation. It is the world’s 8th-largest geothermal generator, with a 100% renewable generation portfolio spanning hydro, geothermal and wind.
Mercury has 1.1TWh of new generation recently commissioned or under construction and a public development pipeline of up to 17TWh (5TWh geothermal, 11TWh wind, 1TWh Solar), positioning it to help meet significant new electricity demand from data centres and other energy-intensive industries.
Mercury is ready to support data center developers and hyperscalers to assess 10+ high-potential 250-500MW sites across New Zealand with grid capacity, reducing time to power to under 24 months, and structure 100% renewable power purchase agreements to enable sustainable compute.
