In his role as Vice President & Managing Director, Germany, Carsten is responsible for leading and overseeing the expansion and management of the organization in Germany. 

Since joining CyrusOne in 2023, he has led the company’s growth in the region, overseeing an operational portfolio of nearly 70 MW of IT capacity and a development pipeline of over 230 MW in Frankfurt. His leadership has helped position CyrusOne for long-term, sustainable growth in one of the most important markets for CyrusOne's future growth in Europe. 

Carsten has been leading the establishment and growth of relationships with German policymakers, authorities, the German supply chain and utility companies to foster the integration of the data center industry and pave the way for continued future success. He is a committed and regular contributor to industry thought leadership through participation in industry forums and beyond. 

Carsten brings over 20 years of experience leading projects across facilities management and real estate. Prior to joining CyrusOne, Carsten held senior leadership roles at Infrareal Holding GmbH & Co., where he led business development and M&A, and at Pharmaserv GmbH, where he was responsible for the development and management of Europe’s largest dedicated pharmaceutical industrial park, including Europe’s largest mRNA COVID-19 manufacturing facilities in Europe.
