Mediterra is changing the paradigm of colocation, bringing Premium Data Centers in strategic digital cities of Southern Europe for a wide range of clients including manufacturing companies, financial institutions, large local and multinational enterprises, hyperscalers and IT services providers. Mediterra's mission is to develop the most comprehensive and service-oriented data center platform in the countries of the Mediterranean basin, starting with Italy.

Becker graduated in Computer Science from Itin-Escia in Paris, and from 2017, became the Managing Director for Italy at Equinix. Prior to joining Equinix, he served as Managing Director for Italy at eServGlobal, Vocalcom, Easynet Group (Interoute/GTT) and DATA4 Group.

Outside of Italy, Emmanuel has developed and supported businesses, including his consulting firm BDM International, in Germany, Spain, France, Belgium, and Argentina. He has a rich network of professional relationships and is a member of important industry associations, as well as an ambassador for French Tech Milan.

As of December 2022, he becomes President of IDA (Italian Association of Data Center Manufacturers and Operators), leaving the position in 2024, thus assuming the role of CEO at Mediterra DataCenters, the Data Center company backed by PEIF Ill, a fund managed by DWS Infrastructure.
