Jeremy Turk

Group Sustainability Director, Mercury

Jeremy Turk is Group Sustainability Director with Mercury Engineering. He is responsible for developing, overseeing, and implementing Mercury’s sustainability strategy. He coordinates and supervises sustainability activities across the group, working closely with other managers, our clients, and key stakeholders. He also leads initiatives to establish a sustainability roadmap, deliver on strategic targets, and enhance our sustainability reporting. 

Jeremy has over 15 years of experience in energy and GHG management, climate mitigation and adaptation, and corporate sustainability strategy. He was previously at The Vanguard Group where he was a Senior Climate Specialist focusing on climate risk governance, and was responsible for guiding company perspectives, public communications, and investment policies on climate risk. 

Prior to joining Vanguard, he was a sustainability consultant, supporting clients across multiple sectors including technology, transportation, construction, utility, manufacturing, and financial services. His extensive background also includes teaching masters-level courses on climate change at the University of Edinburgh. Jeremy holds a PhD in Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences and an MSc in Carbon Management both from the University of Edinburgh, and a BA in Geosciences from Princeton University.
