Kaishi Zhang
Kaishi Zhang is the Vice President of Products, Global Building Automation Systems and Controls at Johnson Controls. In this role, he leads the global product organization responsible for driving the company’s vision for autonomous buildings. Kaishi and his team oversee the full product lifecycle across strategy, lean portfolio management, solution management, product management, project management, UI/UX, and sales enablement—ensuring cohesive execution and innovation across Johnson Controls’ building automation portfolio.
Kaishi joined Johnson Controls in January 2023, bringing deep expertise from the industrial software and controls domain. Prior to Johnson Controls, he held leadership positions at Schneider Electric and Rockwell Automation, where he led global product initiatives across industrial automation, smart buildings, and digital transformation.
He holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a minor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Zhejiang University. He is also a graduate of executive leadership programs at INSEAD and MIT.
In addition to his role at Johnson Controls, Kaishi serves on the Board of Directors of BACnet International, contributing to the advancement of global standards and interoperability in the building automation industry.
