Marten Bunnemann is the CEO of E.ON Energy Infrastructure Solutions (EIS), the European market leader for future proof energy systems for cities and industries. As the growth segment within the E.ON Group, EIS delivers reliable, affordable and sustainable energy solutions with around 5,500 colleagues in 14 European countries. By turning complex energy challenges into practical solutions, Marten Bunnemann and his team combine engineering expertise with deep market and regulatory insight to support cities and industries across Europe.

Since joining the E.ON Group in 2002, he has held a series of expert and leadership positions. From 2018 to 2024, Marten Bunnemann served as CEO and CFO of Avacon AG, one of Germany’s largest regional energy companies, where he played a key role in modernizing and expanding regional energy infrastructure.

Marten Bunnemann studied law in Heidelberg, London and Montpellier, and holds an MBA from HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management.
