Marten joined E.ON in 2002 after completing his law degree and an MBA and subsequently held various management positions for around 16 years, including Head of Corporate Development at E.ON Italia, Head of Transformation Management at E.ON SE and Head of Decentralized Energies / City Energy Solutions at E.ON Germany. Since 2018, he was leading one of Germany’s largest regional energy companies (Avacon AG) in a dual role as CEO & CFO. Since September 2024, Marten took over the role as CEO of E.ON’s newest European wide business division: Energy Infrastructure Solutions (EIS).
