Martijn has a strong background in energy markets, starting his career at Vattenfall, where he developed products and solutions for industrial customers.

He later joined Sunrock, a developer of solar and battery assets, where he was responsible for bringing generation and flexibility to market.

For the past two years, Martijn has been part of Iron Mountain Data Centers, a large energy consumer. As directo of Global Energy Solutions, his focus is on explaining and managing the total cost of power—from navigating volatile wholesale markets and signing PPAs to structuring behind-the-meter solutions.

Having worked across producers, suppliers, and consumers, Martijn brings a rare full-spectrum view of the energy value chain—and in this session, he will share some of the realities (and a few juicy insights) from all sides of the negotiation table.
