Wim Steenbakkers joined ING in 1996 and is Global Lead for ING’s Satellite & Technology Finance franchise.

He has nearly three decades of experience advising hyperscale, colocation and edge data‑center operators, as well as financial sponsors and institutional investors, on bespoke financing solutions. Wim has led and structured financings across the data‑center lifecycle, including platform acquisitions, expansion capex, refinancing and cross‑border portfolio transactions, drawing on deep expertise in structured finance, project finance and asset‑backed lending. Wim is based in Amsterdam and holds a Master’s degree in Economic Sciences from the University of Amsterdam.
